Information:

The Component/Part (C/P) identifier comprises a GS1 company prefix and a C/P reference. The GS1 company prefix is allocated by GS1 Member Organizations to the company that allocates the C/P identifier. The structure and content of the C/P reference is at the discretion of the company that has been assigned the GS1 company prefix to uniquely identify each C/P.
