According to Standards Australia document MP-75:1996 "Strategies for the implementation of a Public Key Authentication Framework (PKAF) in Australia", Australian companies may use their Australian Company Number (ACN) or Australian Business Number (ABN) (excluding leading zeros) to deduce their OID (e.g. ACN 073 665 175 becomes OID 1.2.36.73665175), without needing to directly contact Standards Australia.
